VisionPoint Eye Center is following Phase 5 guidelines of the Restore Illinois plan. The health and well-being of our patients, staff, and doctors continues to be our top priority. We continue to do our part to protect each other and ask for your help too:
Personal protection
Although masks have become optional in many public settings in Phase 5, this is not an option for healthcare settings. All patients are still required to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth while in the building. Patients can bring a mask from home or a mask will be provided. All staff and doctors will wear masks during patient exams and treatment. There will be NO TALKING between doctor and patient when their faces are close during the eye exam. A plastic shield has been added to eye exam equipment for additional protection.
Cleaning and disinfecting
While we have always provided the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, we have taken additional measures to increase the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing equipment, hard surfaces, door handles, and all frequently touched surfaces. Patient exam rooms will be thoroughly disinfected between patients. We have also added hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.
