Dr. Daniel Dansdill is originally from Rockford, Illinois. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, initially pursuing engineering before discovering his passion for medicine and patient care. He went on to earn his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago, where he was recognized with the Research Honors Award, and completed his internship at Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, followed by a fellowship in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he gained extensive clinical and surgical experience.
Dr. Dansdill is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of both the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Glaucoma Society. He is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist with advanced expertise in both the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. He has a special interest in interventional glaucoma care and modern surgical techniques designed to preserve vision and improve long-term outcomes for patients. He remains actively involved in clinical research related to the pathology and treatment of glaucoma, helping him stay at the forefront of advancements in patient care. In addition, he provides comprehensive cataract surgery, anterior segment care, and general ophthalmology.
Outside of the office, Dr. Dansdill enjoys spending time with his wife and best friend, Kristi, and their two children. He enjoys golfing, hiking, skiing, fishing, and is an avid fan of the Chicago Bears.
